The family of the Missing veteran Sindhi nationalist, the convener of JSMM’s Central Coordination Committee, Ustad Muhammad Rahimon spoke to a press conference at Hyderabad Press Club.
Veteran Sindhi Nationalist, companion of Sain GM Sayed and JSMM’s Central Leader Ustaad Muhammad S/o Pir Dino Rahimon was abducted by Rangers led LeAs from his house in village Pir Dino Rahimon near Kario Ganhwer town of District Badin, Sindh, in the dawn of November 23, 2016.
His wife Hakeeman Rahimon and daughter Sindhu Rahimon spoke at a press conference in the Press Club Hyderabad today.
Speaking very gently she said,”We have come here with an appeal today and wanted to convey our appeal to the Intl Community with the help of your pen. You all must have known my father, Baba Muhammad Rahimon since years whom the activists of Jeay Sindh use to call “Ustad: the guide” is an old man, around 71, and so has grown physically weak but ideologically stronger.”
She described his father’s life and struggle; “He is one of the founder members of Sindhudesh movement, companions of Sain GM Sayed, a reciter of Shah Abdul Lateef Bhittai’s message and has laid his entire life in preaching the Sayed’s ideology of an independent Sindh. He has written hundreds of essays and articles to advocate his ideology and has defended the interests of Sindh in his writing and political practice. He is the head of JSMM’s Coordination Committee and its central leader, and that’s the crime he has been abducted to be punished for.”
She told the press that her father had been continuously threatened against his Anti-CPEC stance since months and was beaten in an Anti-CPEC rally at Badin in February this year. “He had been receiving threatening phone calls and messages from the spy agencies since then” she added.
She told the entire story of the abduction of his father, “this Wednesday night at around 2:30 am, the Rangers, Police and the agency cops in the plain clothes accompanied by the SHO of Kario Ganhwer Town Police Station and DSP stepped, tortured us and took him away. Now the same police officials deny any information about his whereabouts” she said.
She demanded LeAs to produce his father in the court of law if he bears any criminal charges and also appealed human rights organizations and Intl. Community to help her save the life of his father as he is a heart and diabetic patient and is being tortured in the illegal detention.
