Political activist whisked away

The ISI has reportedly picked up one activist of the Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz (JSMM).

The ISI whisked away Naveed Cholyani from the Lateefabad area of Hyderabad. He is an activist of JSMM Hyderabad. Naveed Cholyani is the student of a private institute of Lateef Abad; he was reportedly abducted by ISI while he was on his way from academic institute to home.

Eyewitnesses said that a heavy contingent of police, along with personnel of intelligence agencies, picked up the JSMM worker and tortured him while he tried to resist them.

Family members of Naveed Cholyani have sought the intervention of the international human rights organizations in the matter.

Naveed Cholyani is the relative of JSMM leader Rooplo Cholyani who was assassinated by the security forces of Pakistan near Bakhori Mori, Sanghar on April 21, 2011, along-with JSMM leader Sirai Qurban Khuhawar, Noorullah Tunio and Nadir Bugti.
