JSMM’s Sit-in: Police shelling, baton-charge, several injured, many arrested

HYDERABAD, SINDH: Today there was sit-in for the release of 3 days before abducted JSMM worker Muhammad Ali noonari, and his brother Zafar Ali Noonari, and already abducted and missing JSMM worker Ahmed Ali Chandio and Illahi Buksh Markhand by Pakistan intelligence ISI.

Child injured during lathi-charge of forces

The Police and Rangers used lathi charge, shelling, firing, and brutal torture even on children and women leaving many injured.

Today, at 3 pm, at Hattri bypass, Hyderabad, there was sit-in against state operation and abductions of JSMM activists. Sit-in continued for 3 hours until rangers and police started lathi charge and fired shelling, said media sources.

It is reported that four women and one child are more seriously injured. Police and rangers arrested 8 JSMM workers including women, and they all are supposedly missing.

Meanwhile, two trailers were set on fire by angry protesters after the Rangers and police violence. As latest updates, injured women were freed after first aid, but one child is still very serious, yet eight more JSMM workers are missing including women.

JSMM chairman Shafi Muhammad Burfat and JSMM’s Senior Vice Chairman Lala Aslam Pathan has said in their message that if our workers are not released within 24 hours, then there will be complete wheel-jam-strike on 20th July across Sindh and tomorrow JSMM workers and all well wishers will stage a protest against state’s brutal act.

They further said we appeal international human rights commissions to take serious notice of force’s torture and lathi charge on the peaceful sit-in of Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz.
