Alien settlements are changing Sindh’s demography: JSQM

Kandiaro: JSQM Vice Chairman Amjad Mahesar and Qari Ghanghro expressed their concerns over the influx of outsiders and alien settlements in Sindh.

While talking to a press conference in Kandiaro, the JSQM leaders warned about the potential threat of Sindhis to become a minority in their own homeland. “Sindh is a resource-rich country, already saturated with the alien settlement from Punjab and KPK its indigenous Sindhi population is being converted into a minority by the deliberately intensified influx of outsiders” they claimed.

“This is a conspiracy to change the demographic equilibrium of Sindh. The alien settlements conjointly bring the spread of religious extremism throughout the province, which can never be tolerated by the liberal and secular Sindhi society”. They added

“Feudal status quo in Sindh is touting Punjabi establishment’s agenda of dividing Sindhisinton ethnic and tribal lines,” they said.

They also condemned the attack on the house of JSQM leader Mehboob Abro and registration Police case against him. “Mehboob Abro’s house was attacked but instead of arresting the culprits the police has lodged FIR against the victim himself, which is highly condemnable” they added. They also announced

They also announced an “Intellectual Gathering” in Hyderabad to be held in November of this year to address the current political scenario and state atrocities against Sindh where all the intellectuals, writers and journalists of Sindh will be invited.
